In this article, we show you how to search for a product in the ordering process.

    Step-by-step instructions

    1. You can swipe through the menus from left to right to navigate. Or simply tap on the corresponding menu.
    2. For menu categories that contain more products than can be displayed in one column, you can scroll through them.
    3. To display the other categories in that menu, simply press on them.
    4. When searching a product by its name, press on the magnifying glass icon in the top right.
    5. You then can search the products by their name. To do so, tap on the search bar and enter the name.

All products that partially or completely match this text will be shown, which you then can add to the order.

    6. To return to the usual order view, press the table view icon.
    7. Another option to search for a product is to search for their individual search key number. Before doing so, you need to enable this function in the settings. Therefore, open the menu.
    8. Enter the Settings.
    9. From the general settings, open the Input settings.
    10. Then, enable the adding by number function by toggling on the corresponding switch.
    11. Back in the open order view, you can now select the number pad icon.
    12. Which will direct you to the interface of searching a product by their search key number. Do so by using the number pad.

Similar to searching for a product by name, all partial matches of your search are then displayed, which can then be added to the order.

    13. That's it. You completed the tutorial and now know how to search for a product in the ordering process.

Do you need further information on how to set the search field numbers (PLUs)?

To assign a search field number to a product, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Backoffice.
    2. Open the General Settings of the product you want to edit.
    3. Locate the fields labeled "Search Field 1" and "Search Field 2".
    4. Enter your desired PLU numbers (Price Look-Up codes) into these fields.
