DISH POS Screen - Troubleshooting Decision Tree

This guide helps you to solve the most common DISH POS Screen issues step by step. Follow the troubleshooting steps until your screen works again. This guide applies to Sunmi T2s and D3 device.

Step 1: Is the touchscreen not responding?

 

Step 2: Is the device charging properly?

 

Step 3: Is the device slow or freezing?

 

Step 4: Are there network connectivity issues?

 
 

The touchscreen may become unresponsive or lag, often due to software glitches or hardware wear.

Restart the device to resolve temporary software issues.

Check the Access Point placement:

→ Ensure that the Access Point is powered on.

→ Make sure it is not covered or blocked by other objects.

→ Position it upright and ensure it has good signal coverage.

Check for the charging cable and charging port for visible damage or debris. To avoid any issues, it is recommended to always use the original charging cable that came with your device.

Try clearing your cache and unnecessary data to free up memory. Then, go to your device settings and check if there are any system updates available, and install them if you see any. Outdated software can sometimes be the problem behind performance issues.

Note: If the device is in Kiosk Mode, please exit the mode using these steps:

→ Press and hold the the power button until a screen appears

→ Click "Exit Kiosk" on this screen.

→ Enter the default code (usually 0000) when prompted.

→ The app will close, and you'll have full access to the device.

Remember, when you start the app again by pressing its icon, it will automatically relaunch in kiosk mode. For more information, click here.

If the POS App cannot connect to the server, verify that the correct IP server is configured in the POS App.

Check that the screen is connected to the network using an Ethernet cable:

→ Ensure the Ethernet cable is securely connected.

→ The screen should be connected via Ethernet at all times.

→ If WLAN/Wi-Fi is enabled, turn it off.

Then proceed to restart the device and test the connection again.
