POS Cash Drawer Troubleshooting
This guide helps you solve the most common cash drawer issues step by step. Follow the questions and actions until your cash drawer works again.
If the cash drawer does not open, the RJ-11 cable may not be properly connected between the POS printer and the cash drawer.
Is the RJ-11 cable firmly connected to both printer (DK port) and cash drawer?


Check whether the cable is frayed, bent, broken or not clicking securely into place.
Replace the RJ-11 cable and test the cash drawer again

Connect the cash drawer to the printer's DK port. Do not connect the cash drawer directly to the POS terminal and then test the cash drawer again.

Gently unplug and reconnect both ends securely to confirm a secure connection then test the cash drawer again.
