Test transaction - DISH POS Lite

Congratulations! You just finished the installation of your DISH POS Lite device. Now let’s test if everything works as desired, before you start using DISH POS Lite!

To test if everything works as desired, we recommend you perform the following test transactions:

  1. Login to your POS system (Check out our tutorial: App sign-in/out)
  2. Create an order, pay by cash

By performing this transaction, you can test if your system and printer functions correctly. This transaction will be sent to your fiskalisation system. As no actual sale took place, we need to void the newly created order. Therefore, you need to perform a second test transaction:

  1. Void the newly created order

Transaction 1: Create an order, pay by cash

  1. Login to your POS system. For that, check out our tutorial: App sign-in/out

Transaction 2: Create an order, pay by cash

  1. (After login) You are now on the facility/table overview.
  2. By selecting 1 you will see your tables, or you go to the product overview directly if you select a ‘direct sales’ facility
  3. From the product overview, select 3 products (it doesn’t matter which one’s as the order will be voided anyway) – The selected products and their price will appear on the ‘order overview’ on the left side of your screen.
  4. Select ‘Cash €‘ as a payment method, to pay and close the order.
Note: if you have a cash drawer connected to your printer, the cash drawer will open.

Congratulations! You have now performed your first sale! We are now going to void the transaction as no real sale has happened.

Transaction 3: Void the newly created order

  1. (After login with manager permissions) From any screen, go to the hamburger menu in the top left corner of the screen (the icon). A menu will appear on the left side.
  2. Go to ‘Reprint/Reopen order’ to display a list of the last 300 orders of the day.
  3. Select the order you want to open (there should be only 1 order). - An overview of the order details of the selected order will appear on the right side of the screen.
  4. Tap the ‘Reopen order’ button to re-open the order. - A message will appear to warn you that the order will be reopened, press the OK button to continue.

The following happens in the background: the original order is negated. A new order is opened, that represents all the items (with discounts etc.) of the original closed order. All those items can be removed.

  1. Remove the products from the order. To do so, press and hold an order line until the red ‘delete’ button appears. Then press delete. - Alternatively, you can ‘press and hold’ multiple order lines after one another and then delete them at once.
  2. Once the order is empty (all products removed) you can return to the table overview, or keep the screen open for the next sale!

How did we do?
