How can I connect my Google listing?

Once you confirm your business information in the DISH Weblisting setup, we’ll check if your establishment already has a Google listing:

  1. If your establishment doesn’t have a Google listing, DISH Weblisting will automatically create one.
  2. If your establishment has a Google listing, a button saying “Connect your listing” will appear in the dashboard. Click this button to start the flow:

• You will be asked to log in with your personal Google account.

• Once logged in, Google will ask permission to allow DISH Weblisting to update your Google listing. Click “Allow” to proceed.

  1. If you don’t manage your establishment’s Google listing with your personal Google account, you'll see a form to request ownership of your establishment’s listing. For help filling out this form, see our video tutorial, “How to claim Google my Business”.

After submitting the form, Google will check your request and assign ownership. Typically, it takes a few days for ownership to be assigned. How to use it

How can I get the most from DISH Weblisiting?

To get the most from DISH Weblisting:

  1. Connect your establishment with Google. DISH Weblisting won't work properly if you don't have a Google listing.

In the general information section make sure to:

• Write an accurate description of your business.

• Add your business phone number.

• Include your other DISH product URLs so they're visible online.

• Add photos of your restaurant.

• Print QR codes to give to your guests so they can scan the code to leave a review.

In the extended information section make sure to:

• Put the main cuisine type.

• Add the main types of food you serve.

• Include information about other services you offer.

  1. Reply to as many reviews as possible. Your guests will see how much you care about giving a great experience in your restaurant.

How can I publish a phone number on my Google listing?

DISH Weblisting won't publish your phone number on Google unless you explicitly mark it as a form of contact for your establishment. To do this, activate the toggle below your phone number in the DISH Weblisting business profile, which says, “Publish my phone number on Google”.

How can I choose which pictures are shown in my Google listing?

Business owners and guests can post pictures on Google. However, you can't influence or delete guest pictures, but by posting your own pictures you can influence what appears first. Owner-generated pictures are displayed first, so the more pictures you post, the less visible your guest pictures are.

How can I handle negative reviews on Google?

Google doesn't allow you to delete negative reviews. If a review is inadequate, you can mark it as such in Google search or Google Maps. If you receive a negative review, it's best to act straightaway so that other guests who check your Google listing see that you are quick to handle mistakes and that your business is trustworthy and professional. DISH Weblisting informs you of all new reviews and makes it easy for you to reply to them, even from your phone.

How do I make a post?

Click “Posts” in the navigation bar and fill out the different fields. Chose the type of post (news or offer), add a title, and the content for your post. You might also want to add a redirect to your website or pictures to support the message. When you're finished creating your post, click “Publish”.

Can I edit or remove replies or posts that I have published?

Yes, you can. Go to “Posts“, open the link in the box “Published posts”, and choose the post you would like to edit or remove.

Can I remove pictures I posted?

Yes, you can. To delete pictures published via DISH Weblisting, go to the “Profile” section, click on a picture you want to remove, and delete it.
