How do I implement Takeaway in Germany?

In Germany, there are tax regulations regarding takeaway and dine in. Currently, (July 2023) there are no different tax rates applicable to these different types.

Besides this, all orders need to get the Takeaway marker from the POS to the fiscal software. This can be set up in the back-office and will be explained on this page as well.

Change POS mode in App

As explained at the previous step, the fiscal take away marker is configured on a specific salespoint/facility.

To make sure that an employee selects the correct salespoint/facility there is a built-in feature in the app that makes the app go back to the facility screen after an order in direct sales. In a normal situation the app would remain in the Direct Sales facility after a completed order.

Step by step list

  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. In the Payment Screen, switch on the feature: “Go back to facilities screen”
  3. Log out and the login again in to the POS
  4. Open Direct Sale Takeaway and Book a product
  5. Select a payment method and the app goes back to the facilities screen
