Steps

DISH POS back office

You access DISH POS BI through DISH POS Back office via booqcloud.com. Fill in your email address and password and click "Sign in". You arrive in the DISH POS Backoffice.

Under the heading "Finances" in the main menu you will find the button "DISH POS BI". Click this button to open the BI environment in a new screen.

Dashboards

The page is made up of different tiles. At the top left you see a tile that shows the turnover per month in a bar chart. The collection of tiles as seen on the screen is called a dashboard.

  • In the top bar on the screen you will find the 'hamburger menu' - 3 horizontal lines - on the left
  • By clicking on this menu you will see which dashboards are available to you, and you can switch between them by clicking on them. You can see in the 'hamburger menu' that the top two dashboards are part of DISH POS BI Basis and the dashboards under number two are all available when you purchase DISH POS BI Basis+

Each dashboard has the same logical structure.

  • The top three tiles detail a period, such as revenue per month, revenue per day of the week, and revenue broken down by hour and day
  • The second row of tiles is about the location. Here all the branches and sales points are shown
  • The third row of tiles is about the product groups. For example, insight into the turnover and the number of products sold per turnover group, product group and specific products
  • The last row of tiles are about employee performance. This row of tiles shows how employees perform in terms of sales. You can see in one overview the amount of sales each person creates

A deep dive on all these tiles is possible by selecting other dashboards via the 'hamburger menu'. For example. these dashboards give you the background information to answer the question "why employee 1 sells significantly more than others?"

Tile filters

When there are options within tiles to switch views, you'll see it in the bottom right corner of a tile. For example, if you click on "week" you will see that the data is displayed on a weekly basis. If you click on "month" the data will again be shown on a monthly basis.

Besides this possibility each tile has some other useful functions. For example, you can click on the arrows in the top right corner to view a tile in fullscreen mode. If you click on the three dots at the top right of the tile, you get several options. With one click you can export the tile to PDF or Excel format. To undo a certain filter, click on the 'undo' button in the bottom left of the tile.

Legend filters

For specific tiles it is possible to filter using the legend. In the legend you can for example select one or more days by clicking on them. This way you can easily compare different days.

If you want more information about your turnover in August, click on "August" within the tile "turnover per month". When you do this, all data in other tiles on your dashboard will adjust as well! In other words, you now only see the data that is relevant based on the filter you just set. At the top of the page you see two tiles that serve as a reference for you. You always see the date range you selected, in this case August 2020. On the right, you'll see the corresponding total sales plus the number of orders placed within this date range.

The data that you can see in DISH POS BI goes back to the day you started using DISH POS POS. So, data that comes from the period before you started using DISH POS POS is not visible in DISH POS BI.

Icons

Suppose you had set multiple filters within the dashboard, you can quickly remove all filters by clicking the 'reset all filters' icon at the top of the navigation bar. This will return your dashboard to its original state without filters.

The second icon means 'refresh'. Data comes into DISH POS BI semi live. When viewing the current day's data, you can retrieve the latest data by using this function.

The third icon is 'filter'. You use this option to select specific data. By default the dashboard is set to the current 12 months, in other words it looks back exactly 12 months from today. By using the date filters you can quickly filter to see data from a specific date range, like a quarter or a holiday period.

Additionally you can filter by revenue groups. The groups are the same as you have defined in your DISH POS backoffice. For example, if you select 'beers' and 'soft drinks' and click on "apply", the dashboard only shows the data that is relevant for these two revenue groups.

The rightmost icon with the three vertical dots gives several option. For example, you can see which users are logged into DISH POS BI. And by logging out you can share the current dashboard view via e-mail.
